How might Constructal Law inform new designs for governance? Governance can be considered to be bidirectional flows of information and energy. Governance is not business, however much corporations want to make it so. From the perspective of Constructal Law, how would governance and business be differentiated?
This is a great question that warrants further investigation. I think one would find both business and governance to be forms of social organization that are not differentiated at all in terms of constructal dynamics. You are right to focus on what is flowing and how. I recommend defining the system(s) being studied or discussed - the scope of the system vs the environment it’s in. But I can guarantee that system will reveal phenomena of hierarchy and diversity - and with the freedom to do so, evolution to enhance flow access.
